So this blog is dedicated to my sister who had a box labeled "Recipes I Need". After several moves hauling this heavy box around, she decided to toss it. It's been a joke ever since and her husband delights in recalling how heavy it was and how many moves it made!

I love Canada, by the way, and love the pictures of the flowers that we cannot grow in Texas due to the heat. August is our killer hot month, when the garden turns brown from heat, despite the water. I just shelled my last batch of peas, and they are too dry. Looking forward to your posts!

I love cooking so I love this concept. I have been trying to post recipes to my site weekly (but doesn't always work so well with everything else going on some weeks!) Would you mind if here and there I borrow a recipe from you? Naturally I will credit the recipe to you.
